 Teachers who value each and every student will do everything within their ability to ensure that their pupils feel safe in their classrooms and that it is also a safe place to share, vent, and open up about deeply personal life stressors, or that those resources remain available to all. With new regulations in certain states making it against policy for teachers or school counselors to provide support mechanisms for their pupils without circling back to the parents, this gets challenging when policy forbids a teacher from affirming a child’s wishes. When a child explicitly states that he/she/they  does NOT want their own personal vents to a teacher to be shared back at home, but the teacher is restrained by new laws targeting trans community to have no Avenue to do anything in their own good faith and conscience, this is most certainly an unfortunate dilemma for teachers   (my sister-in-law having been one of those academic teachers). Let’s say we can agree together there is no reason to push any agenda on kids other than to teach be kind to everyone regardless of where they come from and to be wary of adults who aren’t family or family friends and never to offer personal information to anyone who isn’t a trusted family member. Summary: Gender affirming care is emotional support, mental health assurance, stress relief, acceptance wearing clothes affirming happiness, and for solid cases of gender dysphoria, HRT and after 18, surgery , I see nothing crazy about this, do what makes you happy. If a child is happy in their family home and enjoying life, then likely there’s no abusive dynamic at all, it can happen in a Liberal family that affirms a child’s gender identity same way it can work out in a traditional religious one, In either scenario I see absolutely no concern.  A child will adapt to the values of their family and if that family is a healthy atmosphere for that child, the child may express happy things and tell stories they like to share, which is an indicator of genuine lack of any trauma. Megyn Kelly, contrary to her current commentary, was never  a Trangender Ally at any time in her past and she she just simply didn’t vocalize a time ago any strong  position as the forefront of her conservative agenda. I want to add that it’s clear and evident that the targeting of trans people, using the argument it’s about protecting children, is part of a viscous top-down partisan agenda. The evidence of this is that we have had transgender people for a while now, we have had polls taken on the issue from both parties , and we have a “before the culture war agenda” and “after the culture war agenda” surveying of public opinion.
